About Winning Imprints
Your Friendly Neighborhood Personalization Store
We love to work with our customers to create unique gifts and awards to recognize exceptional employees, valuable volunteers, and generous donors. Our selection includes individual and perpetual plaques, crystal and glass pieces, acrylic awards as well as trophies. We have the ability to engrave in-house and reproduce logos within the designs of the awards.
Our schools, sports teams, and youth customers have a wide range of options from simple figures on bases to trophies large enough to record winners for many years. Our plaques often include school logos and player photographs.
We can outfit your entire organization with clothing that represents your brand with top-quality decoration. We can personalize apparel projects with embroidery, screen printing, heat transfers, and sublimation. We carry clothing from all the top brands, from price-conscious companies such as Jerzees and Gildan to trend-setting brands such as Bella+Canvas, Alternative, Nike, Ogio & Adidas.
We are a promotional product distributor and a proud member of the Advertising Specialty Institute. Promotional products, also known as ad specialties, make up a nearly $22 billion dollar industry and are used by virtually every business in America. Why? Items like mugs, pens, and t-shirts are memorable and provide a better cost per impression for advertisers than almost every major marketing effort like TV, magazines, and the Internet. We are able to supply your company with every possible promotional product from over 3000 suppliers. With so many ad specialties available there is a huge opportunity for you to leave a lasting impression on your customers.
Emma and Stacey are the “Trophy Wives” of Winning Imprints and Custom Trophies, co-owners of a woman-owned and operated, local trophy store serving the Metro Detroit area for over 35 years. We create awards and trophies with custom engraving for schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, sports teams, and individuals. In addition, we are a licensed promotional products distributor allowing us to offer a full range of decorated apparel and branded giveaways from single pieces to large-volume projects.
You would never start a business with a person you never met before, would you? Well, that is exactly what we did! Truly, our first business meeting began with “Hello, my name is…”.
Emma had been working with her husband, Michael, for his family business and they were renting space in a building owned by Stacey’s husband, Ryan, and his family business. The owner of the trophy shop, which had been renting space for 25 years in the same building, wanted to retire from his business in 2015 and he didn’t have any family to pass it to. Ryan approached Emma and Michael and suggested that the two couples offer to purchase the business and operate it in addition to what they were already doing. Michael and Emma already understood the decorated apparel industry and thought that trophies and awards were a good extension. When the deal was made, Ryan went home and told Stacey, “I bought you a job. Pick out a title. Your business partner is Emma.”
That became the start of their fabulous partnership. Stacey and Emma took responsibility for every aspect of owning and operating the trophy shop. They learned all of the techniques that the previous owner used, determined that the business could continue to be profitable, and then expanded it to where it is today. Over the years, they have become such good friends that they can finish each other’s sentences and know when the other needs help with a project, without needing to ask. They jokingly refer to themselves as “The Trophy Wives”. Anyone that knows them understands the irony. They are proud to run a fully woman-owned and operated business.
Now, in addition to making and selling traditional trophies and awards, they sell branded promotional products, decorated apparel, banners, and more. Stacey focuses on in-house production while Emma works on the volume projects including decorated apparel and branded products. Both Emma and Stacey enjoy the opportunity to be creative when they help their customers design their personalized projects.
